[T]here is [a] situation, particularly in countries with ancient Christian roots… where entire groups of the baptized have lost a living sense of the faith, or even no longer consider themselves members of the Church, and live a life far removed from Christ and his Gospel. In this case, what is needed is a "new evangelization"…
— St. John Paul II, Patron Saint of the New Evangelization
“We call it the new evangelization, to think outside the box if you will… We’re not just thinking outside the box — we’re moving it outside.”
— Fr. Michael Champagne, CJC , Founder of Fête-Dieu du Teche
